Week 3: March 31, 2004

Big mail day today!

Four packages were waiting for me when I arrived.

Angela's crocheted blanket with shell stitch edging made me desperately want to learn how to crochet...

and Anne's "Purrfect" blanket made the boy and I grin from ear to ear. The body is worked in double seed stitch and color will bring out any critter's eye!

Becky's basketweave blanket was next and I was surprised at how soft it and colorful. Trust me, this picture does not at all do justice to the blanket. The basketweave patterning is awesome and the color shifts are really subtle!

Last, but by no means least, came Jennifer's five crocheted blankets. They're thick and cushy and they look so kitty/doggie comfortable. Did I mention that I wish I knew how to crochet?

We close out week 3 with this lovely large blanket from Janna C. This blanket will sure make some shelter doggie very, very happy. Of course, Spot doesn't want that to happen since he's fallen in love with it himself!
