"dressing" the boy's scarf
i completed the boy's scarf in november, the day before his birthday. by completed, i mean, i got all the knitting done. i presented it to him then, promising to block it soon.

i didn't "dress" (i.e. block) the scarf right away. instead i kept postponing the work for some reason or other. sentimentally, finishing it felt like i would be "finishing" our relationship and at the time i didn't want to even think of that. the break up was still pretty fresh in my mind and heart, and every thought of losing him hurt like hell.

yesterday was obstensibly our one year anniversary. we'd made plans to go to the museum and then to a movie and dinner. (despite the breakup, the boy and i have a de facto relationship and still do everything together...) i decided on saturday that i wanted to block the scarf so he could wear it when we went out.

long story, short, the "dressing" went extremely well and we were both thrilled with the results. here are the pictures:

he looks good in it, don't you think?
